They keep saying the Pope's condition is worse. It's constantly worse. The deathwatch is not only in full bloom, but it is on television 24/7 for the very first time. And I find myself looking forward to seeing all of the Vatican politics, the jockeying for position amongst the Cardinals up close and personal.

Those Roman Catholics are the best ever at politics. I mean Karl Rove is a rank amateur, a babe in the woods next to them. They've been refining their skills in a very small closed environment for thousands of years. We get to watch. And I am so looking forward to it.
