It's Harry Potter Day !!!
Last time I received my copy in a special "all Harry Potter" delivery at about 10AM. But I've moved since then. *drumming my fingers on the nearby tabletop*
Let me know when you get yours.

I got mine at 12:01 last night at Kroger's, at 40% off. Since they're not a book chain, there was no line. I read about 3 hours before bed last night, and a couple of hours this morning before my kids demanded their turn. I'm about half-way through, and I've managed not to peek at the ending yet. That's pretty good, for me.
I got mine from Amazon (also 40% off, but I didn't have to go get it) at 11:15 my time. They made me sign for it. The postal carrier told me that kids had been hanging around the truck.
Oh, for Pete's sake...you're kidding, right?

Kidding?
damn my kid, he's reading really slowly. i'll be finished the my 700+ page novel i'm reading before he's even made a dent in the harry potter book. (he's doing it on purpose. and he's telling me bits and pieces along the way, even though i told him to keep the spoilers to himself)
so tell me, talia, is the Marge Piercy book you're "currently reading" any good? because while i consider HE, SHE, & IT my favorite book ever, she's also written some real stunning crap.
Badger, it's decent so far, but I didn't get terribly far along before abandoning her for Harry Potter. Since I can't really recommend or not recommend it, if you haven't, return to the past and read her "Woman on the Edge of Time." It's terrific.
jesting, joking, toying with me...that sort of thing.
oh yes, woman on the edge of time is terrific. dance the eagle to sleep? ::shudder:: not so much.
Badger, I can relate...waiting for the 17 yo to get done with it (which she promises will be this weekend) so I can have it. I can hardly wait!
Talia, glad you got your copy and I can't wait to see what you have to say about it! (But I'm gonna wait til I've read it)
